La Manga
La Manga sits within
the province of Murcia on the Costa Calida, creating
the Mar Menor.
Costa Calida stretches from San Pedro in the north
to Mazarron in the South. La Manga is a peninsular,
15kms long, with the amazing Mar Menor on one side
and the warm Mediterranean sea on the other. The Mar
Menor provides some of the Mediterranean's finest watersports, being shielded from the elements of the open sea. Mar Menor is often referred to as the world's
largest swimming pool, on the edge of Murcia.

Also in the La Manga area is the national park, a local primary school is nearby on the La Manga strip and a fun park for younger children called peka park. Manga easy for walking and cycling, although if you want to leave the beaten track this can be far more challenging.
The nearest main town within Murcia is Cartegena which is a naval town where all the big liners stop on their way round the mediterranean.
Other villages around the La Manga area include Los Belones and Cabo be Palace. La Manga is 20 miles from Murcia airport on the A7 motorway. There are good railway links and a good bus service. La Manga itself is a cosmopolitan mix, it is a very healthy place to live and holiday. The Costa Calida offers many varied costal locations, and has and abundance of golf courses.
